New insights on Celâlzâde Salih’s Süleymannâme on the occasion of the publication of his Tarih-i Sefer-i Zafer-Rehber-i Alaman

Abstract

Salih Celebi is one of the important scholars and writers of Kanuni Sulta Suleyman period. He wrote books about history as well as jurisprudence and literature. Firstly in this article  Salih Celebi’s copies of work in  Suleymaniye Library Ka- dızade Mehmed Section, nr. 557 and Erzurum Ataturk University Library, Seyfeddin Ozege Section, Agah Sırrı Levend Manuscripts, nr. 522-523 which is named Tarih-i Sefer-i Zafer-Rehber-i Alaman will be introduced and will be given information abo- ut it’s content and resource value.  This book’s name has been known till this day however it has never been the subject of a detailed examination. After that because of this extand some new information we will try to do a new evaluation regarding Celalzade’s Suleymanname.
